Homework
Homework will be given according to grade level:
- K - 2nd not to exceed 20 minutes
- 3rd
- 5th not to exceed 30 minutes
- 6th - 8th
not to exceed 60 minutes
There will be exceptions
if the child has a special project or if he/she has
missed school and has homework to make up. Homework may include studying for tests, oral reading and studying spelling
words, memory work and special projects or work that the child didn't finish during class time. Homework is given to
reinforce what is taught in class. It is not used as a punishment or used as busy work.
Attendance
Policy
Each child is expected to be at school everyday and on time. Excessive absences can cause poor
results in the child's scholastic performance. If your child's is going to be out for the day, please call the school
office 948-8877 and let us know. If your child is going to be out for an extended time (3 days or more) we will need
a doctor's release clearing him/her to come back to school.
Tardiness
There will be a $30.00 charge for every 4 unexcused tardies or more per
month. Please remember it is embarrassing for the student and disturbing to the class to enter late. If your child
is tardy, you will need to walk them to class, then sign them in at the office. The child is considered tardy if he/she
is not in their classroom by 8:30 am. If you do not walk them into their classroom, it will automatically
be considered an unexcused tardy.
Hot Lunch
Lunch can be purchased for $3.50. Check with the office for a monthly calendar.
